Hello again! We just wrapped up our first shows of 2019. We started Friday, January 18 in Knoxville, TN then made the 2 hour drive to Chattanooga for a show Saturday night, back in the car Sunday morning for another 2 hour drive to Nashville. These long excursions are killing me. I hadn't seen Art since before the holidays, but we picked up right from where we had left off. Sunday we played at the historic Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville. It's always great to play in the town where I live and to have Annie, who hadn't been to a show in over a year in the audience with a bunch of friends watching the show, especially those that have never seen me play with Art before.
The Ryman Auditorium is an exceptional venue; it sounds great and the amount of history of the place is truly astounding! I always think of the legendary artists that have walked the same hallways and corridors, have sat in the same dressing rooms, stood on the same side of the stage nervously waiting to go on, and that I'm lucky enough to grace the same space. Whether it's the Ryman, Royal Albert Hall or Carnegie Hall, I'm always in awe.
Next we head to sunny and warm Florida for just a few dates toward the end of February which include Ft. Lauderdale, Clearwater and Orlando.
I've been in the studio working on a song I recently wrote as well as a couple others from a few years back. I'll keep you updated on the progress!
Please check out this old video I found of me playing with Mary Macgregor, Mark O'Connor
and John McEuen at the Red Rocks Amphlitheater just outside of Denver, Colorado in 1984.
Thanks for checking out my latest blog! Hope to see you at a show soon and please come up and say hello!!!

Love these beautiful photos! I didn't know you can't drive in Oxford. All we had time to see was the home of C.S. Lewis. Wish we had seen Brighton, we wanted to get to Wales and I remember wishing we could see it. Long ago, wish we could get back. And one of your posts, there was a picture of Freddie Mercury, been listening to him lately, I had never heard those songs before. Yes, the first time we saw you was at one of those rehearsals, those were so special, had to drive over 600 miles to get there from Ohio. Love these updates!
